  • You can apply for vacancies through our website www.careers.lnthydrocarbon.com or through job portals if we have published the openings there. We also advertise our vacancies through leading newspapers or LinkedIn from time to time.

What are the necessary qualifications and experience to apply for a position at LTHE?

  • First Class in Senior Secondary and Higher Secondary education without any ATKT / Backlogs / Arrears / Drops is mandatory.
  • Engineering Diploma or Degree holders with 2-5 years of work experience; at the most 3 ATKTs/ Backlogs/Arrears (dead) and First Class are eligible to apply.
  • Engineering Diploma or Degree holders with 5-10 years of work experience; at the most 5 ATKTs/ Backlogs/Arrears (dead) and First Class are eligible to apply.
  • Engineering Diploma or Degree holders without any ATKTs/Backlogs/Arrears (dead) and work experience and with 58% are eligible to apply.
  • General Graduates with minimum First Class without any ATKTs/ Backlogs/ Arrears / Drops and 3 years of work experience are eligible to apply.
  • Post Graduates with minimum First Class without any ATKTs/ Backlogs/ Arrears / Drops with at least 1 year of work experience are eligible to apply.

Will I get an acknowledgment mail after I apply?

  • On completing the application process, you will receive a mail acknowledging the same.

How can I follow up on the status or progress of my application?

  • You are not required to follow the status of your application as you will receive communication through emails from time to time regarding your application status from our side.

Can I send my CV directly without applying for a specific position?

  • We encourage unsolicited applications to be submitted online through our website www. Careers.lnthydrocarbon.com. Please note that we will only contact candidates based on the unsolicited application if we see a direct match between your profile and an open position.

Can I apply for more than one position?

I know someone at LTHE. Can I ask them for a referral?

  • Yes. LTHE has an Employee Referral Scheme called Aamantran which encourages employees to refer external candidates whom they feel, will be the right talent for the required position.

Where can I find out the deadline for a position?

  • For most jobs, there are no deadlines. Once the role has been filled the job will be removed from posting and will no longer searchable.

Can I apply again if I am unsuccessful this time?*

  • Yes, you can apply again after 6 months.

Can I receive feedback on my interview?

  • Due to the large number of applications we receive, it is difficult for us to provide individual feedback to every candidate. However, if you wish to get feedback on your performance, you can write to us.

An agency that claims to provide internships/ Jobs at LTHE for a fee has contacted me. Can I trust them?

  • It has been brought to our attention that certain unscrupulous elements are sending out false emails purporting to be from Larsen & Toubro Hydrocarbon Engineering Limited. L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering has not sent out any such emails. Please note that we, as a policy, does not collect any money as a pre-employment requirement. L&T Hydrocarbon Engineering bears no responsibility for amounts being deposited / withdrawn therefrom in response to such emails / calls/ messages.

How do I find out whether LTHE will be visiting my campus?

  • You can consult the training and placement office of your university / college and ask them to contact us, in case we do not visit your campus. We do not conduct campus hiring by direct application through our website.

Is a background in engineering necessary to apply for LTHE?

  • Engineering is our core domain at LTHE. Hence, candidates with a background in engineering are preferred. However, if your candidature is seen as the right fit for a particular position, we might make an exception. We do hire, in our Business Assurance & Enabler functions, professionals from streams such as Finance, Legal, IT and HR.

Do I need work experience to apply?

  • Yes. Candidates with relevant work experience of at least 2 years are desired.

What is the selection process for candidates?

It is a three-stage recruitment process for entry-level hires:
  • Domain knowledge Test & Aptitude Test
  • Group Discussion
  • Behavioral / HR interview.

For recent graduates with experience, selection process would consist of Interviews.

Will there be anyone I can ask for guidance once I join?

  • Yes. We understand that joining a new organization can be often overwhelming. Hence, a buddy / mentor is assigned to all new employees. The buddy/ Mentor system is designed to help every new hire for a period of 3 - 6 months.

  • Yes! Our Renew program is specially designed for women who took a career break and aspire to join the workforce again. You are encouraged to apply to any position as per the suitability.

What is the selection process for the Renew program?

  • Registration: Interested candidates can register with us and attach a copy of their updated resumé through our career website.
  • Screening: Resumes received will undergo a round of internal screening. Post this process, resumés with be shared with the concerned departments (this is subject to vacancies in the respective department at a given point in time)
  • Telephonic Interview: Shortlisted candidates will go through a telephonic interview.
  • Personal Interview: Candidates who have cleared the previous round will be invited for a round of interview with the respective Hiring Manager, the Department Head and HR Manager.

What are the typical hours in a working week?

  • The number of working hours depend on your location, business unit and the project you that is assigned to you.

What is the dress code at LTHE?

  • Our office dress policy depends on the nature of job that is assigned to you. A detailed guideline of our dress policy can be accessed through HR. It is expected that an employee dress formally, decently and appropriately.

Is there a canteen facility on campus?

  • Yes, there is a canteen facility on campus that can be availed by all the employees.

Does LTHE provide any transportation services for its employees?

  • Transportation services depend on the location and business vertical. You may contact the HR department, post joining for more details.

Do I need to carry my personal laptop to work when I join?

  • Personal laptops are not allowed inside the campus due to security reasons. You will be provided with a laptop or desktop to work on, depending on the nature of your job.

What documents do I need to carry on the first day to work?

On the date of your reporting for duty, please bring with you the following documents in original:

  • Proof of age - either SSC Certificate or School Leaving Certificate;
  • Relieving Certificate or Service Certificate from your present employer
  • Past Employers’ experience certificates;
  • Educational Certificates including mark-sheets and pass certificates;
  • Salary slips of past three months;
  • Three copies of your recent photograph in passport size;
  • Your employer’s Provident Fund Code No., your Provident Fund Account No. and Family Pension Fund Account No.

Who do I have to report to on my first day?

  • The reporting details will be as per the offer letter received by you.

Due to some emergency, I will not be able to join office on the joining date. Is it possible for me to postpone?

  • We encourage prospective employees to join as per the agreed date as a standard practice. However, in case of any unavoidable emergency, you may do so after prior intimation to the HR department. The offer validity in such cases will be dealt with on a case to case basis.
